Acura MDX Interior Guide
The MDX is Acura’s flagship SUV, the only Acura model to offer three rows of seats, and the long list of trims and options means that there is quite a lot of variation between different configurations. All of these deliver the level of comfort and convenience that you expect from Acura, but there are differences nonetheless, and that’s why it’s helpful to have a guide.
Acura MDX Interior Colors
There are several interior colors available for the MDX. Trim color and material are pretty simple to explain. The base trim level comes with Silver Brushed Aluminum trim, the Type-S Advance comes with Black Silver Authentic Open-Pore Wood trim, and all other trim levels come with Geometric Patterned Brushed Aluminum. Upholstery colors are a little more complicated, with different interior options matched with the various exterior paint colors and trim levels, so we’ll have to go into a bit more detail for those.

The Acura MDX is big on versatility, which is why you see so many trim levels and so many color choices for the interior. While the base trim equipment far exceeds the level of equipment in other vehicles in this segment, the extensive trim lineup gives you the ability to emphasize certain areas.
While not a universal rule, a good way to think of the trims is that the A-Spec gives you more sport-focused aesthetics, while the Technology Package and Advance Package focus more on comfort and convenience. And if you want both, there is the A-Spec Advance, which merges them together. The Type S Advance certainly turns up the level of performance, but in terms of interior equipment, there isn’t a lot that sets it apart from the lavishly appointed and performance-oriented interior of the A-Spec Advance.
